Areas of research interest focus on the use of qualitative and participatory approaches to examine the ways in which social constructs, such as gender, class and race, are associated with compromised health status. In particular, research interests include food security, women's nutritional health and First Nations Health. Teaching responsibilities include community nutrition, socio-cultural aspects of nutrition and health promotion.
