Sernageomin (National Service of Geology and Mining) was founded in 1980 as a result of the association of the Institute of Geologic Investigations and the State Service of Mines. Its objective is to provide specialized technical advising on geologic and mining matters to the Ministry of Mining.
Since Sernageomin was created, our mission has been to generate and provide products and services on geologic and mining fields, in order to satisfy the demands of State institutions, private and public companies, persons and other interested entities, contributing therefore to a social, cultural, economic and environmentally sustainable development of the country.
Among its tasks – scientific and technical - the National Service of Geology and Mining (Sernageomin) works to offer its users the following products and services, all of them linked to a timely and updated delivery of information.
