HUC-JIR is a combination seminary/post-graduate research school. In addition to ordaining rabbis, investing cantors, and training graduate-level educators and Jewish communal workers, HUC-JIR grants post-graduate degrees (masters and doctorates) in the fields of Bible, Rabbinic Studies, Philosophy, History, Semitic Languages, Hellenistic Civilization, and Jewish Thought. over one hundred HUC-JIR graduates are currently faculty at universities and seminaries around the world.
HUC-JIR has four campuses: Jerusalem, Cincinnati, New York, and Los Angeles. The Klau Library in Cincinnati has over 300,000 volumes and one of the top research libraries for Judaica and religion in the world.
