QILS, a research centre of NPIL has secured a state-of-the-art setup for discovery research built up over the years to heights of excellence. The basic research unit, which is functioning since 1972 (erstwhile Hoechst Research Centre), is now called the Quest Institute of LifeSciences (QILS) and is headed by Dr. Bansi Lal (an eminent chemist and research leader). The Institute focuses on New Drug Discovery Research and Herbal Drug Research. QILS is staffed by highly experienced scientists, is equipped with advanced instrumentation and maintains an international standard of a high order; it is recognized as one of the best of its kind in India. NPIL aims to further develop and expand this basic research unit.
