getCITED uses this term to
refer to 15 types of works contained in its database. Most PUBLICATION records
in the database do not contain the full content of the publication itself, but rather references for
(or LINKS to)
the PUBLICATIONS. getCITED launched with over 3 million publication records in its
database, but was built to allow members to continually add and
LINK more and more PUBLICATIONS
to enrich the database.
getCITED PUBLICATIONS include
9 types of published printed works:
- books, book sections, book series>
- journals, journal articles
- conference papers, conference proceedings and papers in conference proceedings
- reports
Conferences themselves and conference presentations are also considered getCITED PUBLICATIONS.
Organizers of conferences and authors of presentations can have these PUBLICATIONS added to the
database and LINKED to their member CV.
There are two kinds of online PUBLICATIONS that are "published" (at no cost) in getCITED itself –
BOOKSTACKS and
DGROUPS.
Click here for a list of all PUBLICATION TYPES in getCITED.
If you compiled a BOOKSTACK that works well as a
bibliography on a certain topic, you may want to LINK
it to your getCITED IDENTITY and have it
displayed as a PUBLICATION in your getCITED CV. Other
members would then have access to your BOOKSTACK.
MODERATORS of
DGROUPS may
also want to include this role in their CV. To do this, they simply need to have their
IDENTITY
linked to the DGROUP.
getCITED also allows you to
"publish" unpublished theses, dissertations, working papers and
manuscripts as PUBLICATIONS linked to your
IDENTITY.
