HTML is an acronym for hypertext markup language. HTML is a collection of formatting commands used to create Web pages. HTML commands cover many types of text formatting (bold and italic text, lists, font size, etc.), and also have the ability to include graphics and other non-text elements.

Basic HTML commands for simple formatting changes and creating HYPERLINKS (usually called links) is relatively simple. We encourage the use of HTML commands in onlineAGORA COMMENTS, especially the insertion of LINKS to sources or people cited in a comment.
