A BOOKSTACK is a member-created bibliography in the getCITED database.
A BOOKSTACK is like a list of favorites or bookmarks you may keep on your web browser.
BOOKSTACKS can include any
PUBLICATION
in the database, including
DGROUPS
from the
onlineAGORA.
You can easily change the items in your BOOKSTACK -
just add or remove items from it as you please.
You can even clear out the whole BOOKSTACK and start a fresh one.
You can only use one BOOKSTACK at a time - the BOOKSTACK in
use is known as your CURRENT BOOKSTACK.
We also distinguish between PERSONAL and PUBLIC BOOKSTACKS.
The PERSONAL BOOKSTACK is the default (current) BOOKSTACK for every
getCITED member. Your PERSONAL BOOKSTACK cannot be changed or even viewed
by anyone but you. It's for your personal use only. PUBLIC BOOKSTACKS,
on the other hand, can be viewed by every visitor to or member of getCITED.
PUBLIC BOOKSTACKS can be RESTRICTED or UNRESTRICTED.
UNRESTRICTED BOOKSTACKS are those that can be edited by all getCITED members.
The
CONTENTS
of a RESTRICTED BOOKSTACK can be edited only by members whose getCITED
IDENTITY
is
LINKED
to that BOOKSTACK.
getCITED allows you to create as many BOOKSTACKS as you like.
You can use the BOOKSTACKS function to create bibliographies that can be shared
among a group of researchers.
