DESCRIPTION:
The beginnings of the horticulture higher education in Cluj (Romania) go back to the founding of the Institute of Agriculture in 1869, since the basic formation of agronomists also involved their specialization in the horticulture area. Thus, until 1977, the horticulture higher education in Cluj manifested the same evolution as the agronomic one, being an integrated part of it. In 1977 was founded the department of Horticulture. After the events of 1989, in January 1990, the University of Agricultural Sciences Senate decided upon the founding of the Faculty of Horticulture, confirmed by Ministry of Education by Order No. 7751/April 27, 1990 and the HCM 224/1990. Long term education - Specializations: HORTICULTURE: Duration of studies: 4 years - Degree of certified engineer LANDSCAPING: Duration of studies: 4 years - Degree of certified engineer ECONOMIC ENGINEERING IN AGRICULTURE: Duration of studies: 4 years - Degree of certified engineer ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT IN PUBLIC FOOD INDUSTRY AND AGRO-TOURISM: Duration of studies: 4 years - Degree of certified engineer FORESTRY: Duration of studies 4 years - Degree of certified engineer LAND REGISTRY: Duration of studies 4 years - Degree of certified engineer Masters degree - Specializations: CULTURE OF HORTICULTURAL SPECIES UNDER CONTROLLED CLIMATE: Duration of studies: 1.5 years. MSc. MUSHROOM CULTIVATION: Duration of studies: 1.5 years. MSc. GENETIC ENGINEERING IN PLANT BREEDING: Duration of studies: 1.5 years. MSc. EUROPEAN AGRARIAN ECONOMY: Duration of studies: 1.5 years. MSc. AGRO-BUSINESS: Duration of studies: 1.5 years. MSc. TECHNOLOGY OF PRODUCTION AND CAPITALIZATION OF SPECIAL WINES AND DERIVED PROUCTS: Duration of studies: 1.5 years.
