DESCRIPTION:
The Institute is both a teaching and research institution. Its main activities are:
Teaching the BA in International Studies, which can be combined with most other bachelor level degrees at UTS
Teaching Language and Culture programs other than English
Supervising research for PhD and MA (by thesis) in International Studies
Supervising research for the PhD and MA (by thesis) in International Studies through the medium of Chinese
Teaching the Graduate Diploma in International Studies and the coursework MA in International Studies and the MA in China Studies.
Research on issues relevant to International Studies - particularly cultural diversity and comparative social change - and language teaching and language curriculum development.
Provision of an advisory service to business and government
cooperation with other parts of the University to promote and present UTS and the international aspect of its activities
