DESCRIPTION:
The interdisciplinary Special Research Program (SFB) HiMAT combines the approaches of Humanities and Sciences to provide holistic data on mining in the Tyrol and the central part of the Alps. Researchers from various disciplines investigate both the general conditions and the consequences of mining across a time frame ranging from the Mesolithic up to Modern Times.
