DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Political Science and International Relations takes a multi sided and comparative educational approach to Turkish political life and international relations. In addition to compulsory courses in politics and international relations the academic schedule offers courses in history, economics, sociology and law, which encourage students to think and find rational solutions through logical criticism. Elective courses such as “political science”, European Union”, “Global Developments and Regional Studies” and “Turkish Foreign Policy” acquaint students with the international sector as well as with the Turkish public sector.
The department’s academic program and regulations support student exchanges and encourage students one semester study at an EU member university. The Social Sciences Institute of the department offers PhD in International Relations with thesis and in European Union without thesis.
