DESCRIPTION:
‘Regulation, Europe and Innovation’ (REI) is the core theme of the LEGS-department. This theme is studied from the (joint) perspective(s) of legal and economic disciplines, with a focus on multi-actor and multi-level governance.
LEGS consists of five General Areas of Scientific Interest (Chairs):
· Administrative Law
· Business Law
· European Economic Governance
· General Economics
· Law of the European Union and other International Organizations
Together these five General Area’s/Chairs constitute the disciplinary foundations upon which research and educational activities are undertaken.
LEGS also encompasses three Special Areas of Scientific Interest:
· Law and Economics
· Applied Innovation (especially in Health and Environment)
· Regional Studies
These three Special Areas are thematic and multidisciplinary formats for joint activities in research and education.
