DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Information Science of Bar-Ilan University is the largest of its kind in Israel, educating information researchers and professionals to fill positions in information centers, companies specializing in R&D, high-tech companies, public institutions, information brokerage services and in all types of libraries. The Department, which opened in January 1974 with 20 students, grew, and today the student body numbers over 500, of which approximately half are graduate students.
