DESCRIPTION:
The department is located at the Gløshaugen campusin Trondheim, Norway. Although modest in size (approximately 150,000 inhabitants), in May 2000 Trondheim was nevertheless listed in Wired Magazine's review of the world's hottest spots of the global high tech network.
The department offers a broad selection of courses, covering most areas of computer and information science. Currently, the department has approximately 175 employees, of whom approximately 40 are professors and lecturers in permanent/tenured positions.
