DESCRIPTION:

The Department has a long-standing graduate program which trains students in all aspects of anthropology, focusing especially on Asia and the Pacific region. The training emphasizes field research. Specific faculty interests lie in Cambodia, China, Fiji, Hawai'i, Indonesia, Japan, Micronesia, Philippines, Rapa Nui, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Thailand, Tonga and West Africa. Specific streams of study include: Archaeological Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, Discursive Practices, Ecological Anthropology, Medical Anthropology and Physical Anthropology.
