DESCRIPTION:
The University of Otago has maintained a reputation for excellence in education and research for more than 130 years and business education since 1912. A pacesetter in New Zealand business education, the Otago School of Business pioneered the first full-time MBA in the country in 1976.
The School has a range of programmes from undergraduate degree's through to the PhD available in accounting, economics, finance, information science, international business, management, marketing management and tourism. We offer such degrees as the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce with Honours and Bachelor of Tourism at the undergraduate level. At the executive education level of study we offer the MBA, EMBA, dBA programmes.
Research degrees include the Master of Commerce and PhD with a more applied postgraduate focus in the degrees of Master of Business and Master of Tourism. We also offer the Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Tourism.
The School of Business is made up of the following Departments;Department of Accountancy and Business Law, Department of Economics, Department of Finance and Quantitative Analysis, Department of Information Science, Department of Management, Department of Marketing, Department of Tourism.
