DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Information and Communication (Informations- und Kommunikationswesen) trains students to become experts for investigation, for processing and transferring information for the respective target groups. The degree courses Information Management, Documentation in Life Sciences and Technical Editing take four years ending with the diploma.
Two new degree courses, Journalism and Public Relations, started in 1999, ending with the degree Bachelor of Arts after three years and Bachelor of Arts (honors) after four years. The studies in all degree courses are very practice-orientated and comprise two work placements, the second of which should preferably be carried out abroad. As the curriculum is structured in modules, individual main emphasis is easy to set within the degree courses.
Modern teaching methods and up-to-date, sound study contents enable the students to be successful on their jobs.
