Mr J.P. LAWRENCE TAMPU-EYA is a British Citizen from the DR Congo who is credited with a Doctor of Philosophy (Law Res.) after successfully completing his Master of Laws degree with Merit (all marks ranging from 60% to 78%) at the University of East London (England) in 1999; BA (Hon's) Politics and International Relations (2:1) from the Univetsity of Westminster (London/England) in 1999 and LL.B. (Hon's) Law Degree from the University of East London (Engand) in February 1997.
He is currently working for CARA Society where he is dedicated to promoting justice, health, education and social development of all of its members and the public by improving the quality of life of the disadvantaged people of their community through helping them to know, understand and achieve their rights. This includes providing free counselling, legal advice, representation, information, referral and signposting in areas covering welfare benefits, debt, education, training, employment, housing, homelessness, immigration, translation, interpreting, cultural/leisure activities, health & social care, HIV/AIDS, STIs, Free Condoms Distribution, Health & Well-being, High Blood Pressure, Healthy Eating and Weight Loss programmes.
He has been advising on immigration, debt, welfare, housing and other legal matters with several law firms such as Kumar and Co, Ronald Fletcher Baker and Co, Ulasi Solicitors, and built up a wide range of experience and knowledge since 1995.
Mr Lawrence can speak, read and write 7 different languages fluently, including French, Lingala, Kongo, Mbala, Yanzi, and English. |
